Aulacorthum Mordvilko, 1914
This genus of aphids contains around 50 species, including pests like the foxglove aphid, Aulacorthum solani which attacks various crops like potatoes or vegetables in many countries. The species normally do not change their host plants during their life cycle and may not even produce sexual stages.
The species in this genus are medium sized and of different colours like white or green. The antennae are usually longer than the body and the siphunculi are long and cylindrical, with a marked apical flange. The cauda is short.
